The Adventurists
!Roger & Bodg'er

On 23rd July we, (Adrian Joubert and Roger Ashman) will be attempting to drive to Mongolia in an utterly unsuitable vehicle - a splendid 1.2 Seat Ibiza. We will be driving 10,000 miles through 12 different countries: across deserts, mountains and Kazakhstani villages in order to raise money for two charities (Macmillan Cancer Support and The Christina Noble Children's Foundation) and to hopefully have a bit of an adventure along the way. Once we (hopefully) make it there the car and equipment will be auctioned off with the proceeds also going to charity.

We are aiming to raise at least £3,000 for these amazing charities so please donate whatever you can at the links below:

This Blog will map our progress as we plan and undergo this epic journey. Hope you enjoy the story.

WE'VE DONE IT!! We're officially in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Unable to update anything since we got into Mongolia which is why we have been a little quiet. Very sad to be leaving the car behind and to be finishing our trip but I think we're both looking forward to showering.

Early flight in 4 hours having been awake for 20 hours but it's all on the home stretch.

110Km away from the Mongol border now. Amazing drive through the mountains today with some epic formations. Camped up in the river valley with a decent fire. Just been rained on but feeling good. Russia has been really great. Everyone has been pleasant and excited to meet us. Mongolia tomorrow. Whoop!@

made it to Barnaul by 19:00. Found a cheap hotel to stay at and we're out for a bite to eat. Met another rally team and we might travel with them tomorrow. Had our helping of russian vodka so will sleep well tonight. Ad & Rog
